Broken City - Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe are at it again in this dark drama. This movie starts off nice and innocent and slowly turns into a twisted tale when you don't know who or what to believe. Great movie, unlike most Wahlberg movies though, not a lot of action.
Verdict: 2 thumbs up
Mama - one word: SUSPENSE!!!! 2 sisters spend 5 years in the woods alone and when they go back to civilization, they bring someone or something with them. I actually jumped at least 4 times, it wasn't predictable, and the plot didn't get too intense or crazy when they tried to figure out what was going on (unlike some of the newer scary movies these days).
Verdict: 2 thumbs up
The Last Stand - good 'ole Arnold Schwarzenegger is back. This time, Arnold is an old (literally) sheriff that has to defend his small town. Thankfully, there weren't any "taglines" from "The Terminator," and the car is AMAZING!!!! Pretty entertaining, don't know if I would go outside of matinee times. Had a fair share of humor too, thanks to supporting cast.
Verdict: 1.5 stars
