Sneak Preview & More (Safe Haven, Bullet to the Head, Movie 43)

Nicholas Sparks' novel "Safe Haven" is released in theaters February 14th. I saw the sneak preview Thursday. It is by far, the BEST Nicholas Sparks movie I've ever seen! Usually his movies are serious tearjerkers and chick flicks and extremely predictable! Not this one. Not predictable, not a tearjerker (had its moments, but you definitely won't need kleenex!). I even jumped a few times and it was quite surprising.

Verdict: 2 thumbs up (I may even see it again)

Sly Stallone is back at the action in "Bullet to the Head." As a hitman, he teams up w/ a cop to catch a killer. As common in his other roles, the action and the one-liners were great, Sly is definitely aging though - but nowhere near as fast as Arnold Schwarzenegger. If you're in the mood for some decent action - and no playing around to get to it, check it out.

Verdict: 3.5 out of 5

"Movie 43". I knew that the plot of the movie was purposefully not released by the studio, I also knew that it should be pretty decent due to all the stars (Dennis Quaid, Common, Hugh Jackman, Josh Duhamel, Terence Howard, Halle Berry, etc)that it should be pretty good. The best part about the movie was the actors lol. The movie did have its moments that were truly funny, but it is truly more raunchy than anything. It is essentially a bunch of short movies/stories wrapped up into one, and I thought T. Howard's was the best one. So, see it at your own risk, just don't say I didn't warn you lol.

Verdict: 1.5 out of 5
