Today at the movies: Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and Parker
Both movies are action-packed, and pretty fast moving.
If you enjoy any type of werewolf, vampire, or movies where they hunt these creatures, you'll enjoy Hansel & Gretel. It is NOT the fairy tale we grew up w/ (apparently some parents thought so,as there were children in the theater). It is rated R, w/ good reason. But, the special effects were great, and although only 88 minutes, it was the perfect length.
Jason Statham was back to his usual tricks as an action star in Parker. As a "good crook" (if there is a such thing), he seeks revenge against his gang that double-crossed him. A bit slow at times, and I think there could've been a better co-star than J.Lo, Jason doesn't let you down if it is action you're after.
Overall, 3.5/5 stars for both.
