I was really enthusiastic about seeing this one, only because the 1st one was entertaining; good cast, decent jokes and story line. So, I took a chance since some (key word, some) sequels (Terminator 2, RED 2, Transformers 2), have been as good as the 1st, sometimes better. Yeah, not so much with Grown Ups 2. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.
This time, almost all of the cast is back (Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David James, Kevin Spade; Rob Schneider didn't make an appearance this time, can't really say I blame him), living now in their childhood town that they visited in part 1. That's about the highlight. No true storyline, the movie just follows each of the characters in their day-to-day activities. The humor was much too raunchy (and overkill to me) this go 'round and I just wasn't amused, plain and simple. There were some laughs, but they were few and far between.
Rating: 2/5 - Save yourself some money on this one, unless you are or were truly a fan of the 1st one. It may be pretty good in the dollar theater or the Redbox. I must admit though, Shaquille O'Neal did a good job :-)
