Today's movie: The Call
I admit, I was only partially interested in seeing this movie for several reasons:
1. Halle Berry's wig did absolutely NOTHING for her (I was quite disappointed)
2. Halle's most recent movies didn't blow me away.
3. The previews for this movie seemed to tell all the good parts and make you think the movie is rather predictable, including the ending.
Welp, I am SO glad that I ignored all of the above and decided to see this movie, Halle Berry is BACK!!! As a 911 operator, Halle Berry (Jordan) is responsible for responding to the residents of Los Angeles frantic, sometimes crazy, always needy calls. Unfortunately, Jordan answers a call that no operator would want. The co-stars in this movie are just as great as Halle (Morris Chestnut & Abigail Breslin from M. Night Shyamalan's "Signs") and I actually learned a lot - some things to do in case of an emergency, and I will probably be even more on the lookout for things out of the ordinary now when I'm out and about. Just be thankful for that nosy neighbor, if you've ever had one, lol. Go see this one, make sure you try and go during a matinee, as the commentations from moviegoers around you may get a little carried away (although entertaining). I too found myself talking to the screen. I jumped at least 3 times, (I seriously caught myself w/ my mouth wide open), and I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to The Culture Club again w/o thinking of this movie.
Enjoy!!

I actually want to see this movie, but since I am afraid of scary movies I will have to live through your enactments. :)
